Racquets and Jackets was established in 1975 and has since serviced east Tennessee as the area's premier source for tennis equipment and apparel. Not only are we your source for all things tennis, but we also specialized in racquetball as well.Stringing is one of our trademark services that keep us well ahead of our competitors. We have the only master racquet technician (MRT) in the east Tennessee area whose expertise goes into every one of the 4000+ frames we restring annually! We restring Squash and Badminton racquets too.
Our racquet selection is the region's largest with over 100 different models of tennis and racquetball frames to choose from. And if the selection seems a bit overwhelming, then take advantage of our free demo program to find the frame that best suits your game!
Our apparel selection is comprised of more than a dozen of tennis' most popular brands. From warm-ups to dresses, we have the latest and most fashionable styles for the women, men, and children too! Another special service we offer is team orders. Whether it is interclub or a school team, 3 members or 30, we are your source for team orders!
Racquets and Jackets carries only the best frames on the market with the newest advancements in technology. We have over 100 models to choose from by Price, Wilson, Head, Babolat and Dunlop.
With so many frames, it might seem difficult to choose the most appropriate one. That's where our expert staff can assist you. Our master racquet technician and trained staff will guide you to the frame which best suits your swing speed and playing style. Whether you need a frame for maximum power, pinpoint accuracy, or anywhere in between.
Our demo program is also available for our customers to help determine what racquet is best for their game. You can test two racquets at a time for up to a week, and demo as many times as you like until you find the perfect match!
We also have a wide selection of junior frames for all different age groups. Racquet lengths are determined according to age and / or height, so bring in your future tennis star and we can fit them with the appropriate racquet (demos are unavailable in Junior Frames).
Don't forget that we specialize in racquetball as well. We carry extensive stock in E-force and Ektelon frames along with gloves, grips, goggles and special accessories. And as with tennis, there is a full line of demos available for our racquetball customers to try!
All frames are backed by a one year limited warranty, so if there is any structural defect within a year of purchase, we'll send it to the manufacturer for you (hang on to your receipt!) Stringing
Racquet and Jackets always has an expert on hand to service your stringing needs. Justin Canup is our master racquet technician (MRT) the industry's symbol of excellence in racquet service. Mr. Canup was the first person in Tennessee to achieve this certification in 1994, which is issued by the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA.com).
The MRT certification guarantees that your racquet will be strung properly and accurately according to industry standards. Our MRT can also expertly meet your regripping and handle resizing needs (reduction in size is dependent on racquet model) and also customize your racquet's weight and balance.
We stock over 130 different styles of string by Prince, Wilson, Gamma, Babolat, Head, Technifibre, and Laserfibre. Our prices for synthetic strings range from $15 - $35 installed and natural gut from $39 - $49 installed. We guarantee 24-hour stringing but usually can provide same-day service.
Our stringing machines are state-of-the-art Price Neos 2000's to ensure accurate tension hold for maximum performance. We service over 4000 frames annually and continue to see our customers grow based on our commitment to impeccable craftsmanship. And do not worry about keeping your string type and tension memorized - we keep your service records in file!

Whether you want a modern athletic look or prefer the more traditional approach, we have got the outfit for you.
For the men we carry an extensive selection of shorts, warm-ups, collared shirts and t-shirts. Stay cool in the court with coolmax’Ñ¢ or Clima-cool, a fabric which many of our brands use to help your perform at your best!
