Calling All Captains!
It's time to start preparing your team for a successful 2012 USTA league season. Cedar Bluff Racquet Club is ready to assist you with all your team's needs. We have the staff to organize 1, 2, or 3 court practices. Our pros will help you match players and make lineups.  You can have the Performance Training Inc. training staff work with your team.  And of course Racquets and Jackets is located here for your team's uniform needs!

Captains of teams practicing at Cedar Bluff Racquet are entitled to these "perks":

1. Your clinic is free if your team fills a 2 court clinic!  (½ price for one court clinics)
2. Performance Training, Inc. is offering the captains free workouts when they have 4 other team members with them.  Choose one or two days a week to get tennis-specific training.  The focus will be on strength, flexibility, range of motion and even footwork to improve your game and prevent injuries!
3. Captain's Racquets and Jackets discount is 30% (team discount is 25%).
4. Remember that non-members may participate in a USTA team clinic at CBRC by paying a minimal $5 extra per clinic.

Sunday afternoon is an exciting time to play tennis at Cedar Bluff! Men's and Women's doubles play at 1:30 and mixed doubles begin at 3:00. Rosters fill up fast! If you are interested in playing, please call VODY at 539-6433.

CONTROL A POACHER
If your opponent is poaching your return... take a step or two back off the baseline when returning the serve. This will give you time to see your opponent move and give you more time to make that perfect passing shot down the line.
